Nelson Louis, painter and sculptor from Brussels_ and Kinshasa at heart, Bakwa Kalongi Chiefdom. Nelson Louis is currently working on a long series of paintings with the aim of translating the period from the Belgian Congo to the present day. He would like to be able to narrate his vision of history as a young witness and research artist-collector. We find in his practice: – weaving, which allows to create a first link – the colours of the flags of Belgium and Congo – symbols, objects, sentences, portraits, etc.
